Shannen Doherty was one of the topics Jason Priestley wrote about in his 2014 memoir. His story-telling about the former "Charmed" star shined a huge spotlight on her bad girl ways.
However, according to the actress, his horrific car accident back in 2002 was what made him write what she claims are fictional tales about her. She indicated to Jenny Hutt, the host of Just Jenny at Sirius XM, that Priestley must have hit his head pretty hard for him to have a renewed memory about her.
"I love Jason, but you know he had a car accident - a racing car accident - and I think, maybe, parts of his memory got altered from that," the 43-year-old Shannen Doherty shared. "Everybody changes. They have their own perception of the truth. His is definitely different than mine."
Doherty's Sirius XM interview has been scheduled to air on January 16..
Priestley, who is now 45 years old, was involved in a terrifying near-death vehicular accident back in August of 2002. The accident left him with a fractured spine, as well as a very serious injury to his head. He had crashed the race car that he was driving into a wall. It was during the Indy Racing Infiniti Pro Series, which was at Kentucky Speedway. He was believed to have been going at 180 miles per hour.
Shannen Doherty and Priestley used to play the roles of siblings in the highly watched teen series, "Beverly Hills, 90210" during the early 90s. Sadly for the actress, she was written off the show in its 4th season in 1994 because of an off-cam drama.
Her graceless exit reportedly left a bad taste in the mouths of her former co-stars, Priestley in particular. In his 2014 memoir, he talked about her reaction when the executives of Fox sent the stars a private jet so they could attend a last-minute business meeting in New York City.
"I could not believe my ears at Shannen's very first words after she boarded," Priestley revealed. "Her butt had barely hit her seat before she said, loudly, to the PR person, 'Really? A town car? You send a town car to take me to the airport - not a limo?' She sighed a very put-upon sigh. I laughed, as I couldn't really tell if Shannen was kidding or not."
