According to UK researchers, employees who work in a room surrounded by plants are more productive and happier than those who work without live greenery. In fact, the study revealed that having real plants in the room can boos job satisfaction and productivity by 47%.

Approximately 52 hours a week are spent by employees in the United States. Spending the entire 8-10 hours a day in a windowless and blunt space is exhausting.

Scientists from the University of Exeter conducted a study on the link between greenery in the office and job productivity of employees. Along the study, they found out that indeed, job satisfaction is higher in rooms with live plants.  Having humble houseplants have been proven to help increase concentration, promote productivity and boost staff well-being.

The study was designed by the Identity Realisation research group from the University of Exeter. They compared employee's output from various business space types. They conducted the study by measuring the creativity, productivity and happiness of 350 visitors to the show. They worked at different work environments through 90 experiments.

However, previous studies measured how plants improve health, happiness and even satisfaction in work related scenarios. Plants add comfort and ease to workers hence making them more comfortable in working.

The result from this study and experiment entail that plants that are placed in work areas can boost efficacy of workers, hence even the business is uplifted.  Studies in the past showed that plants have therapeutic and proven effects in hospitals that aids in patients' recovery.

The organisation wants to encourage everyone in the UK to add a houseplant to their home and office and claims it will make a 'significant' impact to people's quality of life on a daily basis. Plants have many benefits and incorporating them in daily activities can surely make life easier and productive.
