New moms have plenty of things to think about. Aside from trying to cope with a new addition in the family and rearing a baby, she also has herself to think of, especially her post-partum weight. But this model changes our perception of weight loss after childbirth when she showed her abs only a month after she delivered her baby.

Australian Erin McNaught, who also used to represent the country in a Miss Universe pageant and now works as a model, drew mixed reactions when she posted a photo in Instagram, proudly showing her abs. In her caption, she said that she's just in her fourth week of post-partum, but her pre-baby tummy is already coming back.

The 32-year-old who's married to Elliot Gleave has just recently given birth to Evander Maxwell. So everybody wondered, how did she do it? McNaught attributes her fast weight loss through healthy eating and walking. She also performed various ab and pelvic exercises including pelvic work, which she implied to be no ordinary exercises.

Many, however, considered the photo and her to be vain and that she's sending a wrong impression especially to other new mothers or mothers-to-be. In a deeper perspective, a new mother's objective is to take care of the baby, not to immediately loss the excess pound. Also, some thought that her supposed weight loss and flat stomach may have been caused by a more effective lighting that gave the illusion of thinness.

While there are haters, McNaught also gain admiration, with people calling her sexy. Some also chastised those who criticized her, saying they are plainly jealous of the model's success. Some also said that others use their pregnancy as an excuse to eat more than they should, making it harder to lose the excess weight after giving birth. When McNaught was pregnant, she continued with some of her exercises such as yoga and even BodyAttack.
