She believes it's a miracle, while many say it's pure science. A 31-year old woman conceives twins 15 months after her husband passed away due to cancer. She has now spoken about her joy as she will soon have biological a daughter as a legacy of her late husband.

The only regret she has now is that her daughter will never meet her father. Jen Bluett, 31, met Jim when she was just 19 years old in Cyprus. Initially, she was expecting two babies but one of the twins succumbed to prematurity for they were born 23 weeks old. Pixie survived but her sister, Lillie died at 26 days old.

"I gave birth to two beautiful identical girls. Now Jim and I have one each - neither of us will ever be lonely," Jeni said.

Their love story started happy and perfect not until before their engagement in 2010 when they found out he has cancer. By 2012, they got married but only months after, he passed away. Determined to give her husband a legacy, she opted to have children with him.

So, when he was still alive and healthy, they had his sperm frozen and kept until she was ready to use them. With the aid of an artificial insemination treatment, she got pregnant 15 months after Jim died.

"We have spoken about it at length when he was alive. When he passed away I was adamant I was going to go ahead with the treatment," Jeni explained.

When the twins were born, Jeni recalled, "They were so tiny and their eyes and fingers were fused together."

Today, Pixie is 16 months old and Jeni is raising money for The Ickle Pickles and you can donate via her Just Giving Page, Mirror reported.

Intra-cytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) is an in vitro fertilization procedure wherein the sperm is injected directly in the egg cell. It has stirred up controversies and debates but is being widely used worldwide.

Jeni regard it as a miracle because with ICSI being used today, freezing the sperm may pose low quality fertilization that can lead to serious health problems to the fetus, miscarriage and still birth. However, she was able to conceive and bring home her bundle of joy.
