The story of Elizabeth Sullivan may simply change the way you think about a healthy lifestyle.

Even at 104 years, which she just recently celebrated, she's a picture of great health. Past her wrinkles and slim frame, she remains very active, talkative, and happy. When asked for her secret, she referred to her all-time favorite doctor: Dr Pepper.

She's been drinking the soda for more than 35 years. What's even more amazing is the fact that she drinks a can three times every single day.

The woman, who currently lives in Texas, has obviously heard almost every kind of objection especially from her doctors. Once, she was asked by her general practitioner if she's been following a healthy diet. She bluntly said no and mentioned about her excessive drinking of the soda. Her doctor immediately recommended that she change her lifestyle. Ten years after, the doctor died, and she went on to live for many more years.

As a way of saying thank you for her commitment to the brand, none other than Larry Young, the of the Snapple Group who manufactures and distributes the Dr Pepper line, delivered straight to her home not only a birthdaycake but several cans of her beloved soda. In fact, she was given some of these pops in their original cans--just the way they looked two scores ago.

Her story seems to compel people to question about the effectiveness of a healthy diet especially since sodas are known to have an excessive amount of sugar. Sullivan knows that but somehow questions whether the supposed healthy guidelines exist without any issue.

Nevertheless, there's more to her life than drinking these sodas on a daily basis. She enjoys reading and spending a lot of time with friends and family. She lives a very grateful life and devotes her time teaching football players math without any charge. Many studies reveal how an active mind and great social relationships canalso increase a person's lifespan.
