Fans of Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Meryl Davis are spreading rumors of the DWTS season 18 champs engagement and marriage.
While the "Dancing With the Stars" duo have plenty of chemistry on the dance floor, or showmance as Maks likes to call it, both Maksim C. and Davis have denied engagement rumors. But, fans are hoping some of their on-stage closeness will translate to real life, Christian Times reported.
On the subject of Maksim and Meryl's engagement rumors, they've taken a collective stand that they are friends, not together.
Davis mirrored what Maksim was saying all along that her partner was an incredible individual and that their friendship is definitely for life. Here's what Meryl said about Maks In a Glamour magazine interview:
"Glamour: It's really cute. Fans can't get enough of you two. Since it has been a year since you and Maks first met, how has your relationship evolved, specifically after you guys won the Mirrorball trophy?
Meryl: We obviously became incredibly CLOSE during the show and sort of coming away from that experience where we were no longer spending every day together, it was interesting to sort of to continue to grow our friendship in a different capacity."
Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Meryl Davis engagement rumors stem from the dancing duo's professional life as well. Maks runs a jewellery collection called Cantamessa and a number of dance studios across the country. He reportedly consults Meryl on all his professional moves and acquisitions and Maks considers her a big part of his DWTS success. She was the only partner with whom he was able to win his first Mirrorball trophy after dancing for 14 seasons.
Meryl also said that she had a close bond with the Ukranian Latin ballroom dance champ. And Maksim had wanted to make his last performance on DWTS with Davis, who emphasized that it was good Maks ended the season with Meryl as his last dance partner.
However, he did say that he might be interested in coming back as a judge.
