When news of the breakup between Big Sean and Ariana Grande first surfaced, fans were quick to assume that Justin Bieber’s onstage shenanigans had something to do with it.
It was previously rumored that the rapper threatened the Canadian pop star on social media following the performance where he hugged the “Love Me Harder” singer from behind.
However, as it would turn out, the “Beauty and the Beat” singer had nothing to do with the split after all. Although the former couple released a joint statement saying that they plan to “remain friends” after parting ways, it does not look like they will be able to keep that promise.
Fashion & Style has reported that, back when they were still together, Sean always made Grande listen to his songs before he released them to the public. However, listening to one of the tracks, “Stay Down,” it looks like Grande may have either missed listening in on one, or she just did not think it was a big deal then.
It would appear that it is a big deal now, especially after TMZ has reported that Grande was upset when he dropped the controversial track. According to the report, the rapper might have been talking about his ex-girlfriend’s “billion dollar p***y.”
“I ain’t even gonna lie / I got a million dollar chic / With a billion dollar p***y / Every time I come, I swear to God I feel like I be rich,” Sean rapped in the song.
Grande’s grandmother was reportedly bothered by this song and even asked her granddaughter about it. According to the source, Grande felt absolutely embarrassed.
Before the release of the alleged diss track, however, it was reported by online news sources that Sean had called out Grande for being “selfish” after deciding to miss his House of Blues performance since was asked to perform at the Grammys the very next day.
Apparently, Grande’s voice was “strained” because of the rehearsals that she was advised by her vocal coach not to talk for what was left of the day – something that sources said made Sean very upset.
