Bungie's "Destiny" update for Apr. 30 features the "Trials of Osiris" as well as other Crucible changes.

"Trials of Osiris" is a special Crucible event which is found in the game's second DLC pack: "House of Wolves." The new PvP endgame will feature an Elimination gametype and will take place on a different map every weekend. Players will need to form a three-player Fireteam and matchmake against opponents.

In order to unlock better rewards, players need to win a lot of games. In the event that the team loses three games, the Trial is finished. However, players can join as many times as they want. Each of the events will run from Friday until the weekly reset, according to Bungie's "Destiny" update.

Other changes in the Crucible include the fix for the spawn-locking issue affecting Iron Banner, legendary items to be added to post-game reward tables, new reward package each day for players' first match, doubling the Reputation and Mark gains for each completed Crucible match, availability of Etheric Light from Lord Saladin and new maps from "The Dark Below."

The Salt Lake Tribune reported that the developers aim to tweak the game as much as possible without alienating the fans. The game's update has involved a lot of enhancements for the DLC.

"When we were getting close to launch, we knew we weren't going to have something that was compelling," Lars Bakken, multiplayer design lead, said.

"I had a conversation with some of the other leads, and we came to the conclusion that it just wasn't ready yet. The data was still there, but what 'Trials of Osiris' has become is very different than what it would have been."

"House of Wolves" is slated for release on May 19 for PS3, PS4, Xbox One and Xbox 360. Bungie's "Destiny" update 1.2 is expected to be available on the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live before the DLC's debut.
