“Avengers 3: Infinity War” will have its first part premiering in 2018, while its second part will be out the year after that. This early on, however, a villain has already been confirmed for the third installment of the “Avengers” franchise.
Christian Today has reported that it has already been confirmed that Thanos will be the villain of the third movie. According to the report, he will manage to get his hands on the highly coveted Power Stone, which he will need in order to finally complete the Infinity Gauntlet.
Furthermore, rumor has it that Chris Pratt, who plays the role of Star-Lord in the “Guardians of the Galaxy” franchise, will be making an appearance in “Avengers 3: Infinity War.” His role in the third film is to help the Avengers avert the impending threat that Thanos will eventually bring to the world.
“I am tied to doing three more or five more – ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ or whatever it is,” Pratt told GQ Magazine. “You know, two more ‘Guardians’ plus another couple.” This may have meant that Pratt is committed to being part of, at least, two sequels, as well as other Marvel spinoff movie deals where he will be making appearances with other famous Marvel characters.”
The report also mentioned that it is highly likely that Spider-Man will also be making an appearance in “Avengers 3.” Peter Parker had recently rejoined Marvel Studios after Sony gave up on the franchise. What makes Spider-Man’s participation in the third “Avengers” movie is that, according to rumors, he will be the one who will end up saving the world.
If “Avengers 3: Infinity War” actually follows the story of the source material, Spider-Man will be the one who gets back the Infinity Gauntlet and uses it in order to reverse time and undo the havoc that Thanos caused on the world. The friendly neighborhood web slinger manages to do this successfully – and only himself and Thanos are the ones who remember such event.
