The "Digimon Adventure Tri" trailer has officially been revealed.
"I encountered you," Tai said to Agumon in the opening scene of the teaser. "This world has chosen the reality and the future which shouldn't have been chosen... That's why I am here."
The voice cast was also revealed in the "Digimon Adventure Tri" trailer. Taichi Yagami is voiced by Natsuki Hanae, Suzuko Mimori as Sora Takenouchi, Yoshimasa Hosoya as Yamato Ishida, Mutsumi Tamura as Koushiro Izumi, Hitomi Yoshida as Mimi Tachikawa, Junya Ikeda as Jo Kido, Junya Enoki as Takeru Takaishi and MAO as Hikari Yagami.
Chika Sakamoto will voice Agumon, Atori Shigematsu as Biyomon, Mayumi Yamaguchi as Gabumon, Takahiro Sakurai as Tentomon, Kinoko Yamada as Palmon, Junko Takeuchi as Gomamon, Miwa Matsumoto as Patamon and Yuka Tokumitsu as Gatomon,
Atsuya Uki created the character designs for the "Digimon Adventure Tri" trailer and series while Yuuko Kakihara will act as series script supervisor and Keitaro Motonaga will direct. The first poster for Toei's newest series features the original cast of characters with their fellow Digimon companions. The image was first revealed through the Twitter account of "Digimon Adventure" 15th Anniversary.
The series is set about six years after the events of "Digimon Adventure" and three years after "Digimon Adventure 02." Taichi and his friends, the Chosen Children group, will reunite with their Digimon partners to protect the Digital World from evil.
The official website of the upcoming series has listed Daisuke in its source code's keyword meta tags. Daisuke, known as Davis in the English version, is the main character in the "Digimon Adventure 02" anime series. This might mean that he is set to return to the series or at least make an appearance.
The "Digimon Adventure Tri" release date has been confirmed for Nov. 21. Instead of a full-length feature movie, it will be made into a six-part theatrical series and the first short-film is entitled "Reunion."
