A promo image for "Pokémon the Movie XY" 2015 suggest that a new Pokémon will make an appearance in the upcoming film.
Japanese magazine CoroCoro released a photo for "Pokémon the Movie XY" 2015 which showed a large silhouette of an unknown Pokémon. The image is featured in the trailer for the new movie set to be released in Japan in 2016.
There are speculations that this new Pokémon could eventually appear in a future game, specifically "Pokémon Z." The "Pokémon Z" release date is still yet to be announced. iDigitalTimes reported that Zygarde, the green and black snake legendary, will make a cameo in "Pokemon the Movie: Hoopa and the Clash of Ages."
Furthermore, the mysterious figure may be Hoopa in its Unbound form with its three eyes. However, Hoopa's horns are different from the unknown Pokémon. "Pokemon the Movie: Hoopa and the Clash of Ages," the latest film entry in the franchise, will be coming to the United States later this year.
It was previously reported that the release of "Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon" this Sep. 17 is the cause of the "Pokemon Z" release date delay. The highly-anticipated game will most likely be released in 2016 since the upcoming "Super Mystery Dungeon" game will be released in the later part of 2015. The earliest release date will reportedly be at Feb. 2016.
"Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon" 3DS will be priced at about $39 for either the package edition or download edition. The game will be released in North America this winter and is slated for a European release next spring.
The roguelike video game will have changing dungeon layouts. Players can battle alongside the different types of Pokémon to save the world from a massive crisis. It will also feature all 720 Pokémon that appeared in the game series up until now, including all Legendary and Mythical Pokémon.
