The playable demo for "Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butoden" 3DS is now available.
Bandai Namco streamed a gameplay trailer for "Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butoden" 3DS last week. Anime News Network reported that the playable demo was launched in the Nintendo eShop on Thursday.
"The 'Extreme Butoden' Demo is available for download," Bandai Namco US tweeted. "See the action!"
"Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butoden" 3DS is expected to be shipped in Europe, the Middle East and Australasia on Oct. 16. It is slated for release in the Americas on Oct. 20.
The game will feature over 100 characters from the "Dragon Ball Z" universe but only about 24 characters are playable, the rest are Z Assist characters. It will feature character-specific move-sets as well as Super Moves.
Bandai Namco previously announced that fans who pre-order "Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butoden" 3DS will get an in-game bonus. They will receive early access to six support characters: baby Goku, Super Vegito, kid Gohan, Meta-Cooler, Garlic Jr., and kid Goku.
A new Nintendo 3DS bundle for the game will also be released in Europe. It will include a black New Nintendo 3DS with unique orange cover plates and the "Dragon Ball Z: Super Butoden 2" digital SNES game in Japanese along with the pre-installed "Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butoden."
The game was shipped in Japan on Jun. 11 for 5,690 yen, which is about $47. It was bundled with a "Dragon Ball Disk Cross" disk which featured Frieza's golden form, as seen in "Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection of F," a download code for "Dragon Ball Z: Super Butoden 2" and a card for "Dragon Ball Heroes" with the film version of Goku.
The game has two modes: Free Battle and Versus Battle. Free Battle allows players to pick three "Battle Characters," from Goku, Kid Gohan, Vegeta and Majin Buu. It will also have five different stages to choose from.
