Joel and Ellie's beginnings should be confirmed as "The Last of Us 2" plot, release date rumors teased.
While most fans are not thrilled to have a see Joel and Ellie take on a new adventure after the events of "The Last of Us," many are pushing for the duo's return. Many are arguing that a storyline involving the early days of Joel and Ellie's relationship could be a good choice for the sequel.
"It could be recalled that after the death of Sarah and the initial outbreak of the infection, Joel lived a life of smuggling drugs and weapons throughout the vicinity of the quarantine area in Boston," Movie News Guide reported.
"Recorded via 'The Last of Us' Wiki, many things have happened in his life during those 20 years: looking after Tommy, seeing Tommy leave and go to the Fireflies, partnering with Tess, arrangements with Bill, meeting Robert, and striking a deal with Marlene."
"If Naughty Dog, Inc. opt to go with Joel and Ellie again, the impression of the ending that 'The Last of Us' had would reportedly suffer as well as the relationship of the two characters only turning sour," the site added.
A confirmed "The Last of Us 2" could be very likely. Sites are talking about the new title and they are offering some sound arguments for the game's proudction.
"One aspect of The Last of Us that I think a lot of gamers agree on is that the games' AI wasn't up to scratch," Movie Pilot reported.
"If you compare the AI with other aspects of the game, it doesn't live up to the expectations that Naughty Dog created. Enemies couldn't detect your companions, those who helped you in gun fights were mostly useless, and seeing how your enemies acted in battle broke your immersion. Why does every enemy spray bullets like there's infinite ammo out there? Enemies should be better shots with less ammo in The Last of Us 2 - it is the apocalypse after all."
