A sequel is coming for the not-so-great "Fantastic Four" 2015 film despite Fox reportedly backing out of the second installment. Writer/Producer Simon Kinberg talks details, including his belief that there's another great story for his cast out there.

Latest news have revealed that the while the 2015 movie "Fantastic Four" failed miserably in terms of blockbuster sales and critic reviews, the sequel is still pushing though. According to a report by CinemaBlend, writer and producer Simon Kinberg revealed that despite the harsh reception for "Fantastic Four," he still believes that there's a story somewhere in the film and that he has full confidence in the cast to make a better sequel for the movie.

"We made that movie in the sweltering heat of summer in Baton Rouge and I was there every day of photography," shared the "Fantastic Four" producer.

"You're waking up every morning being like, 'I want to go make a great movie.' It was an opportunity to do that. I do believe there is a great Fantastic Fourmovie that we've made with that cast. So I'm gonna figure out what that is."

Kinberg added, "We're figuring out what that movie would be. I'd like that to happen."

In an earlier interview with MTV, Kinberg shared his thoughts about "Fantastic Four" being dubbed as the second worst summer 2015 film. Instead of becoming discouraged to pursue the sequel, Kinberg shared, "I'm really focused on the next one. I was most disappointed that fans didn't like it."

:I care more about them than I do anyone else. But I haven't done a full deep dive on it. Do I think it was unfairly treated? I don't know," he continued.

The unfavorable reviews and return of "Fantastic Four" have initially spurred rumors that a sequel won't be happening, with Fox even allegedly backing out of the second installment. However, a report by Cleveland revealed that the sequel is indeed pushing through, with the writer/producer driving the caravan, and with all the cast members on the wagon for another installment.
