George R.R. Martin's "Winds of Winter" release date may have been revealed by his Spanish publisher.
The sixth installment of the author's "A Song of Ice and Fire" fantasy saga is expected to be released in 2016. George R.R. Martin's "Winds of Winter" release date was revealed by Alejo Cuervo, editor for Spanish publisher Ediciones Gigamesh who owns the rights to the books.
In an interview with Los Siete Reinos, of Catalan radio station El Mon a RAC, Cuervo was asked about when the highly-anticipated book will be published.
"It is expected next year," he replied. The editor added that the Spanish version will be released soon after the English version of George R.R. Martin's "Winds of Winter" has been published.
"We have been promised the manuscript in advance of the release in English which we will translate, there won't be a big difference," Cuervo confirmed.
"GoT" season 5 ended with Jon Snow, portrayed by Kit Harington, being stabbed to death by his Night's Watch crew. Fans have come up with several theories on Snow's return.
International Business Times reported that the author admitted that Snow would survive but did not reveal any more details. It seems like Jon Snow could reappear in "Game of Thrones" season 6 as well as George R.R. Martin's "Winds of Winter."
During his promotion of his upcoming film, "Testament of Youth," Kit Harington revealed an interesting detail about his role as Jon Snow in "GoT." "The important thing is that I now know exactly how long I am still under contract," the actor confirmed.
"I can't talk about that. Let's just say that 'Game of Thrones' will remain a part of my life for a while, I'll probably be in my thirties when it's over."
Given that the actor will turn 28 years old this December, it seems that he will continue to be a part of the show, which has been confirmed to run for eight seasons.
