"Shokugeki No Soma" season 2 is expected to return in the summer of 2016. This show is one of the most famous animes that premiered this year, and it has just finished its first season.
It was first reported on When-Will that there was a high possibility that the highly watched anime series will be hitting small screens with its second season next year. Considering that the show's first season ended with a climactic battle between Yukihira Soma and Akira Hayama, fans are speculating that "Shokugeki No Soma" season 2 will be focused on this story arc.
Soma made Curry Risotto Omurice, while his rival, Akira, made Naan Pot Pie Curry. The judges struggled to choose which particular dish was more delicious than the other, but they eventually chose Akira's prepared meal. Despite the defeat, though, Soma and his friends still celebrated all night, ending the show's first season on a high and merry note.
As of the moment, the anime's manga version is at Chapter 135. That said, the animated version of the franchise still has a lot of material to work with for the "Shokugeki No Soma" season 2 plot.
It has always been Soma's dream to finally become a full time chef who works for his father's restaurant. That said, surpassing his father's culinary skills will be a huge bonus for him. Sadly, shortly after Soma graduates from middle school, his father, Yukihira Jouichirou, decides to close down the restaurant and leave for a wonderful cooking experience in Europe.
Despite this incident, Soma is still very hopeful. His fighting spirit was awakened when his father challenged him to survive in an elite culinary academy where only 10 percent of its students graduate, as reported by KPopStarz.
"Shokugeki No Soma" fans are confident that the series' protagonist will make it and will finish school with flying colors.
