Tom Hanks is just a great guy.
The Oscar winner shared a photo of a lost ID through his Twitter account on Tuesday in order to return the card to its rightful owner, according to People.
“Lauren! I found your Student ID in the park!,” wrote Hanks.
“If you still need it my office will get to you. Hanx.”

There is yet to be an update as to whether Lauren was able to get her ID back from the actor.
It is possible that Hanks decided to return the student’s ID because he’s experienced strangers helping him out recently as well. Hanks had tweeted in March that someone had found his credit card on the street and generously returned it, according to BBC News.
Social media users have been having quite a bit of fun with the recent news.

Tom Hanks has proved to his fans and haters that he’s all about spreading the good via the Internet. When Kerman High School’s student body advisor reportedly announced in a YouTube video that the school would be basing their homecoming on Tom Hanks’ movies because he’s “an incredible actor,” things got very real.
The 59-year-old actor reportedly responded to the video very positively.
“Gear up, Kerman High School for Homecoming! I’m working on something for the Festivities! Hanx,” tweeted Hanks.
