Selena Gomez revealed that she was undergoing chemotherapy after being diagnosed with lupus during her recent break from the spotlight, according to People.
The 23-year-old pop star is making a strong comeback as she recently announced the dates and locations of her “Revival” tour upon the release of her upcoming album on Friday, according to Billboard.
Pre-orders of Gomez’s new album “Revival” will reportedly grant fans early access to tickets for her upcoming tour. The pre-order will reportedly come with “Advance Ticket Access to next tour (via a unique code emailed before the tour’s general on-sale),” according to Gomez’s website.
General ticket sales will reportedly begin on October 17 at 10 a.m.
During a new interview with Billboard, Gomez opened up about the difficulties during her break when she was focusing on her health.
“I wanted so badly to say, 'You guys have no idea. I'm in chemotherapy. You're ass-----.' I locked myself away until I was confident and comfortable again,” explained Gomez, addressing the assumptions made regarding her hiatus.
The rumors regarding her break didn’t bring the former Disney star down. It actually propelled her forward.
“I'm so f---ing nice to everybody, and everyone is so vile to me. I've been working since I was 7. I've been a UNICEF ambassador since I was 17," she said.
“It's so disappointing that I've become a tabloid story. That hate motivated me."
Gomez will be going to the U.S. and Canada from May to July, according to People.
