Former L.A. Laker Lamar Odom was found unresponsive at the Love Ranch in western Nevada on Tuesday afternoon and taken to Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas, the Nye County Sheriff’s Department confirmed in a statement, according to USA Today.
Odom’s ex-wife, Khloe Kardashian, reportedly flew to the Nevada hospital to be by Odom’s side, according to People.
An emergency call reportedly came from the brothel at approximately 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Emergency personnel reportedly arrived at 3:34 p.m. to the scene of the Bunny Ranch.
“After being treated by the physicians, arrangements were made to transport him by Mercy Air helicopter. However, Mr. Odom was unable to be transported by air due to his stature," said Nye County Sherif Sharon A. Wehrly.
“He was immediately transported by Pahrump Valley Fire and Rescue Ambulance to Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas, Nevada for further treatment."
Members of the Kardashian family flew to Vegas on a private jet within two hours of hearing the news, according to TMZ.
Odom and the “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” star reportedly wed in 2009 and separated in December 2013 after the former NBA star allegedly relapsed with his substance abuse problems. Divorce papers were reportedly signed in July.
Owner of the brothel, Dennis Hof, reportedly stated that Odom had not been drinking excessively but confirmed he did appear upset after receiving a call on Sunday regarding a “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” episode, according to a telephone interview with Good Day New York.
