New reports are now hinting that the "Sons of Anarchy" spin-off underway will actually tell the story of the SAMCRO origin.
The new project will be entitled "First 9," and will include a lot of notable SOA names in its possible cast.
"The First 9 were the founding members of SAMCRO," Inquisitr reported.
"The remaining living founding members wear a patch on their cut that says 'First 9'. John Teller was the founder and President of SAMCRO. Went head on with a semi truck and still survived two days later until he died. First husband of Gemma Teller Morrow and father of Jackson Teller, Thomas Teller, and Trinity Ashby."
While the spin-off/prequel will actually shed light on John Teller's beginnings, it's main focus will reportedly be on the Mayans. Series creator Kurt Sutter is reportedly in the early stages of developing the new story that will most likely air on FX.
"Details about the project are scarce," Entertainment Weekly reported.
"In fact, we only know one thing for certain about the proposed storyline: The project focuses on the Mayans - the Oakland-based Hispanic MC gang that had quite a rocky history with SAMCRO across seven seasons. In the original series, the Mayans run heroin factories and are also involved in prostitution. Their cuts bear the legend 'Los Asesinos de Dios' - Assassins of God."
Sutter also dished on more details about the "Sons of Anarchy" spin-off, revealing some minor plot details.
"It's the same [biker] subculture, but it'd be interesting to see the influences of that culture and how it impacts the subculture we already understand," he told Deadline.
