Charlie Sheen is up against not only HIV but also his many former partners, some of whom are currently mulling a lawsuit for not disclosing his HIV diagnosis.
Former Two and a Half Men lead Sheen (Carlos Irwin Estevez), 50, has recently opened up to Matt Lauer on Tuesday, Nov 17, confirming that he's been diagnosed with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) around four years ago. However, perhaps as a form of assurance to the women he slept with, he said that he didn't transmit the virus and his doctor cleared his body of any trace.
But many of his partners are not convinced. In fact, according to a TMZ scoop, as early as Monday, Nov 6, at least six women had already reached out to a prominent lawyer for advice and assistance. He further added that he would be talking to four more on Tuesday. His revelation is believed to be triggered by "blackmail" of former partners who learned of his illness.
Former lover Bree Olson, on the other hand, went on to call Sheen a "monster" for not disclosing his diagnosis and having unprotected sex with her when they were together sometime in 2011. Sheen's manager was quick to deny the allegation by saying he wasn't positive yet during their relationship. The 29-year-old adult film star, however, has already tested negative of the disease. Brooke Mueller, Sheen's ex-wife, and their two boys also have negative HIV results.
While his exes may be suiting up, Sheen is getting a lot of support from the entertainment industry especially those he had worked with. Heather Locklear, whom he partnered with in Spin City, said her heart is hurting and that she's praying for Sheen and his family. Lady Gaga, meanwhile, shared an Instagram picture of Sheen and Lauer on TV and tagged Born This Way Foundation, which helps spread awareness and prevention on HIV. She also added the hashtag #Bravecharlie.
