Emilia Clarke may reprise her role as Sarah Connor for the "Terminator: Genisys" sequel.
The Wrap reported that Skydance chief creative officer Dana Goldberg talked about the future of the franchise during the publication's 6th Annual Media Leadership Conference. "Terminator: Genisys" had disappointing domestic box office results which led to speculations that a sequel may no longer be plausible.
"I wouldn't say on hold, so much as re-adjusting," Goldberg clarified. "We are not going to begin production at the beginning of next year."
This change of schedule could definitely affect the "Terminator: Genisys" sequel release date which is slated for May 2017. The exec has also revealed that the sci-fi saga may be adapted into television.
Goldberg confirmed that a "Terminator: Genisys" sequel will be happening. The company also plans to gather information on what the fans liked and didn't like so that the next film would be more successful.
It was previously reported that Emilia Clarke's "Terminator: Genisys" performance was criticized and blamed for the film's domestic flop. There were speculations that she won't be reprising her role in the sequel.
Meanwhile, several "GoT" fans believe that Emilia Clarke's "Game of Thrones" character, Daenarys Targaryen, will rule over the Seven Kingdoms along with Jon Snow (Kit Harington). ET reported that the 29-year-old actress thinks that it would be one "massive hair-off."
"I know that he thinks that he has better hair than I do, but I do," Clarke quipped. "And isn't he dead? Exactly."
Kit Harington was spotted in full costume on the set of the show, leading to rumors that he will be back for "Game of Thrones" season 6. Clarke explained that Harington could just be missing his co-stars.
"I think that he loves us, I think that he misses us, and I think that we like to mess with those people who are snooping around our set, trying to get information that they don't really want to know," she told the publication.
