"Gears of War 4" PC seems to have been confirmed by a video game retailer in the U.K.
GameZone reported that a listing by GAME, a U.K. company, listed "Gears of War 4" PC as available for pre-order. The game has been previously confirmed for Xbox One and may also be released for PC, if the announcement is to be believed.
According to Tech Times, it is likely that the listing is a technical glitch or an error by one of the site's portal administrators. If ever "Gears of War 4" PC does push through, it will join the ranks of other Xbox-exclusive games that Microsoft has released to PC: "Ryse," "Titanfall" and "Dead Rising."
Microsoft bought the rights to the "Gears of War" franchise from Epic Games. The Coalition is now developing "Gears of War 4."
Moreover, the publication noted that a recent remastered PC port of the original "Gears of War," which came out in 2007, and "Gears of War: Ultimate Edtion" seemed to hint at a "Gears of War 4" PC port. The remastered versions of the games were unveiled at E3 2015.
"Gears of War 4" PC is said to support a mouse, keyboard and gamepad controllers. It may also have a 4K resolution, similar to the remastered version of the original game.
There have been no official announcements by Microsoft and The Coalition, though, so fans who are excited for "Gears of War 4" PC will still have to wait.
"Nothing to announce yet," The Coalition studio head Rod Fergusson said. "Obviously something I'll be happy to talk about at a later time."
GameZone included a screenshot of the listing. However, as of this writing, GAME has removed the PC tag for "Gears of War 4" in their official website.
"Gears of War 4" is slated for release by Q4 2016. The game's official release date will reportedly be announced by E3 2016.
