Kanye West is feeling the pressure as he continues to work on his new album. Is 2016 his release date?
2015 is the year of the anticipated albums as artists in the likes of Frank Ocean, Rihanna and Kanye West are expected to unleash their next collection of tracks. However, not one of these artists have revealed their release date and some, not even a peep about their new album.
Kanye West on the other hand is making his steps known to fans waiting for his new album. A report by ABCNews revealed that Kanye West is focused on nothing but working on his new album and posting it (all caps) on Twitter saying, "no offense to anyone... I'm asking everyone DON'T ASK ME FOR ANYTHING TILL AFTER I'M FINISHED WITH MY ALBUM."
While the request cannot be anymore clear, Kanye West's fans took this to mean as an invitation to poke at the rapper with mundane questions soon after the Tweet. NZHerald reported that, "West's plea has backfired with the rapper's twitter page swamped with random questions from fans. Other messages posted include requests for glasses of milk, groceries from the supermarket, coffee orders, pizza deliveries and hugs."
Meanwhile, this public call-out has proved that Kanye West is hard at work with the new album with a possible 2016 release date and some even speculate that this may be a sign of pressure as the new album nears launch. Bustle pointed out that, "It's still unclear, but from his tweets on Saturday, West seems to have implied that it's coming really, really soon. When it does drop, it'll be the climax to a fantastic year for the rapper."
Whether Kanye West is almost finished making the new album, what remains to be see is really the announcement of the release date. There still could be changes even after an announcement of the new album release date has been made, and a lot could still go wrong (hello, Frank Ocean).
Apart from Kanye West, previous reports have revealed Frank Ocean new album is still MIA, as well as Rihanna's next music. Will 2016 be the "it" release date year for these new albums to finally be heard by the fans worldwide?
