According to website Inverse.com, many Hollywood stars were contacted for this role and based on their understanding of the role and talent they will be selected shortly.
When Sienna Miller was contacted she said, ''Captain Marvel? Is that a girl? I'm not someone who read a lot of comic books and I don't really know that world particularly well...but I think it would be quite fun - for my kid as well. She'd like it'.'
Looking at this comment one might think of this as a selfless act as her kid would love it. However she clarified further adding that she is giving money more importance than a toon based character at this point-in-time in her career.
Meanwhile, "Jurrasic World" star Bryce Dallas Howard was also asked about the role and based from her statement, it looks like she is very eager to don the mantle of Captain Marvel.
