"Fifty Shades Darker" stars Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson are reportedly fighting over who gets the top billing in the much-anticipated sequel.
While Dornan appeared to be the more veteran of the two, since his debut was in the 2006 movie, "Marie Antoinette" as Count Axel Fersen, it can be argued that Johnson started much earlier.
Back in 1999, when she was just 10 years old, the model appeared in his mother's film, "Crazy in Alabama," before making a comeback in 2010 in "Social Network."
Then after "Fifty Shades of Grey," Johnson seems to be getting more movie roles compared to Jamie Dornan, which would warrant top billing. She scored gigs for "Chloe and Theo," "Black Mass," "How to be Single," "A Bigger Splash" and "The Sound of Metal."
Meanwhile, Dornan has not really been getting projects left and right. Aside from his "The Fall" TV series, Amelia Warner's husband only has two movie credits to his name following the "Fifty Shades of Grey."
These are "Anthropoid" and "Jadotville," which are currently in post-production.
For "Fifty Shades of Grey," Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson were paid $250,000 each, but they reportedly negotiated for much bigger salaries to do the sequel. However, no official report has come out as to how much.
Nevertheless, this alleged feud between Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson over their "Fifty
Shades Darker" pay could not be verified so fans can consider it as mere rumor for now. The two actors are also not likely to dignify the rumor with a denial.
Fans will have to see if the chemistry between Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey would be affected when "Fifty Shades Darker" premieres in February 2017.
