While the release date of Netflix anime series "The Seven Deadly Sins" season 2 has been confirmed for 2016, it is expected that the English dubbed version won't get aired until 2017.
The first season of the anime was aired on Netflix in November 2015, while the series had already aired in Japan in March 2015. It is likely that the same might happen with season two as well. Hence, there is a possibility that North American fans might not get to see the series before 2017, reported IBTimes.
"The Seven Deadly Sins" Season 2 release date announcement was made in a commercial video, which was aired during the final episode of "Arslan Senki," or "The Heroic Legend of Arslan" on Sept. 26, 2015, according to Anime News Network.
The first season of the anime "The Seven Deadly Sins," which was released on Oct. 5, 2014, ended with 24 episodes. Only six of the series' characters were introduced to viewers by the end of the season.
It still remains unclear whether "The Seven Deadly Sins" season 2 will be a sequel or not, as writer and illustrator of the manga Nakaba Suzuki has stated that he has plans to release three different story arcs for the manga. Each of them will be of 100 chapters of 300 chapters in total.
However, it is expected that the second season might see the introduction of the series' seventh character, even though he has yet to make an appearance in the manga.
If "The Seven Deadly Sins" season 2 follows the manga, viewers are likely to see a new group of enemies, collectively known as "The Ten Commandments."
These characters belong to the Demon Clan, which was resurrected right after the end of the first season, reported TV Tropes.
"The Seven Deadly Sins" fans can expect an action-packed season two if the anime follows the manga.
With the release date of season 2 in talks, fans can catch the first season of the anime TV series "The Seven Deadly Sins" on Netflix.
