"The Vampire Diaries" star Ian Somerhalder and his wife Nikki Reed had been the subject of a lot of speculations but, recently, the couple has been lovey-dovey.
According to People, Ian Somerhalder feels "pure bliss" upon waking up with his wife Nikki Reed.
"Every single day. Look who I get to wake up with," he told People. "We're under kitties and dogs and it's just pure bliss."
Fashion & Style reported that the "Vampire Diaries" actor said that "it is up to people to determine their own happiness."
"It has to be a conscious effort to wake up and recognize all the beauty in our lives," Ian Somerhalder said. "I'm grateful."
Accordingly, Somerhalder and his wife have been happily married for around 9 months.
"9 months of amazing marriage to this amazing human. Happy 9 months my one and only human -- I can't wait for the rest. So many, many, many more to come and fill with memories. I love you," Ian Somerhalder captioned his wedding video with wife Nikki Reed.
The rumor mill has been churning and Somerhalder was reported to still have pertinent feelings for his ex-beau and "Vampire Diaries" leading lady, Nina Dobrev.
However, Ian Somerhalder denied the rumors and had always made it a point to show his affection to his wife Nikki Reed whether on social media or not.
With a ton of their furry friends, Ian Somerhalder celebrated his 37th birthday in December with his wife.
Nikki Reed took to Instagram to post a meaningful and romantic message for her husband.
"You are my every dream brought to life... Here is to the next 65 years together, holding hands, strolling through the woods, still learning, still listening. Happy happy birthday... I love you."
In line with this, Ian Somerhalder and his wife Nikki Reed were previously reported to be the Grand Monarchs of Mandeville's "Mardi Paws."
