Keith Urban is all set to release his new album 2016 which is entitled, ''Ripcord.''
The music genre will be of Country Music and the label Capitol Nashville will release it sometime in 2016. The ''Ripcord" World Tour will kick off on June 2, 2016.
This album will be the follow-up project to 2013's ''Fuse'' as reported by the boot.
"I just think of it in terms of authenticity, just capturing where I'm at," clarified Urban. "That's all my records have ever been about, just capturing where I am."
The singer posted on his Twitter account last year that his forthcoming album will be entitled "Ripcord."
In a conference, Keith clarified that his wife Nicole Kidman had suggested this name.
"It's just kind of a cool word name - just, it has a lot of energy about it that I really like ... I just like the sound of it," Urban said. "and I thought [a ripcord on a parachute] is quite metaphoric for what music is for me and what music is for a lot of people: It can very well be the thing that saves their life."
There are two singles of ''Ripcord'' which Urban have released so far entitled, "John Cougar, John Deere, John 3:16" and "Break on Me.'' Both songs have done well on the music charts and the upcoming album is expected to do very well commercially.
"I'm always looking for new people to create with," Urban mentioned. "I did it with Fuse, and I'm doing it also with this record as well.''
The release date of his ninth studio album, ''Ripcord'' is still unknown but Rolling Stone mentioned the upcoming ''Ripcord" World Tour is likely happening this year.
"It's all amphitheaters and arenas," Urban clarified. This tour will launch on Jun. 2, 2016 in Kansas City. The entire tour chart is present in the list presented by Rolling Stone.
