"Episode 8" brings the legends back to "Star Wars," including the last Jedi, Luke Skywalker portrayed by Mark Hamill. Is Hayden Christiansen still part of the cast?

There have been many speculations about what "Episode 8" brings to "Star Wars" fans worldwide and while previous reports have pointed towards the return of Hayden Christensen to the franchise, it has yet to be confirmed how his return will occur.

A report by MakingStarWars revealed that actor Hayden Christiansen, who portrayed the young Anakin Skywalker and as well as his older and evil alter-ego, Darth Vader will be returning to the "Star Wars" franchise. "A team in the U.K. are soon heading to the U.S. to begin training Hayden Christensen for a 'Star Wars: Episode 8' appearance of some sort," it said.

While there isn't confirmation on the part of the heads of "Star Wars," fans have already seen that this return is possible, given that other major characters have appeared in "The Force Awakens." However, the question remains on the manner of Hayden Christensen's return to the next "Star Wars" franchise, "Episode 8."

Currently, legendary actor behind Jedi Luke Skywalker, Mark Hamill has been reported to be back to work for the latest "Star Wars" installment. A report by TheWeek revealed that the actor touched-down in UK this week to begin filming "Episode 8."

"Filming for the next installment of the latest Star Wars trilogy appears ready to get underway after Mark Hamill was spotted at Heathrow airport, in London," revealed the report.

Given this fact, while the last "Star Wars" installment had already given a sneak peek into how Mark Hamill's character will return, Hayden Christensen's involvement is still being debated.

In the last "Star Wars" installment, Darth Vader was presumably dead (not absolute death since possibilities arose) after his bout with Luke Skywalker in "The Return of the Jedi" (1983). Now, talks of Hayden Christensen's return to "Episode 8" may have opened the possibility that Darth Vader indeed could have died, but as the ghost of Anakin Skywalker returned to the same 1983 movie, the young Jedi still might return to the upcoming "Star Wars" installment.

Now the question is, as Mark Hamill has begun filming "Episode 8" for the next "Star Wars," where in the world is Hayden Christensen?
