Motorola Moto 360 2 smartwatch is creating a wave in the market of smartwatches now. Is it worth the purchase?
The Moto 360 (2nd generation), which is also known as the Moto 360 (2015) was launched on Sep. 14, 2015. The original Moto 360 (Ist generation) too was loved by smartwatch lovers.
This is an Android Wear-based smartwatch which is considered as one of the best smartwatches of 2015 by TechAdvisor.
The circular display with an extremely elegant design catches the eyes immediately. The Moto 360 2 comes in two sizes - 42mm and 46mm. And there is one huge benefit of this smartwatch.
Using the Moto Maker anyone can choose between hundreds of different combinations of straps, bezels, finishes and colours and make it their own custom-made watch. Priced at $299, many find it a value for money.
The 42mm women's Moto 360 is pretty much liked by today's tech savvy woman. Motorola used IFA 2015 to launch this second generation smartwatch.
Wearable also rated this as one of the best smartwatches of 2015. Gold, rose gold and silver cases give the wearer ample choice to choose the case. Stone gray or blushed brown straps look quite impressive. The second gen 360 took the pixel count to 360 x 325 for the 42mm model and 360 x 330 for 46mm compared to the first gen watch.
If buyers compare the price of this watch with an Apple Watch (up to around $1,100) or the Huawei Watch (up to $799) then one can say that it is not a very bad deal.
There's a portion of the circular display which is dedicated to the ambient light sensor and hence does not have pixels. This creates an irritating 'flat tyre' effect and the buyers had expected that The Moto 360 (2nd generation) will eliminate that. However, it is still there.
This is one complaint which requires the attention of the makers. Apart from that Google's Android-based platform which is specifically designed for wearable devices has made this gadget quite popular among the latest technology lovers.
