Fans of Aamir Khan are in for some good news as the cast of the well-revered "3 Idiots" is coming back for a sequel!
International business Times reported that there is a possibility of the main cast reprising in the sequel. Aamir Khan, R Madhavan, Sharman Joshi, Bomman Irani and Kareena Kapoor were there in the original cast.
The director Rajkumar Hirani also said he had plans to make a sequel to "PK".
"Initially, I had plans to make 'PK 2', but we don't have any subject for the film. As far as a '3 Idiots' sequel is concerned, Abhijat (Joshi) and I have an idea, but we are yet to develop it. The film will take some time," Rajkumar Hirani the director of ''3 Idiots'' told Catch News during the promotions of "Saala Khadoos."
"Rajkumar Hirani and Abhijat Joshi have a concept ready for the '3 Idiots' sequel, but there has not been any progress in it. Whenever it happens, I will be a part of it," said R Madhavan who is a part of the next film ''Saala Khadoos." He also mentioned that he will be a part of the sequel of ''3 Idiots.''
The Indian Express reported that ''3 Idiots'' sequel will happen for sure. However, it might take time as Rajkumar Hirani does not have a script as of yet. "Raju Hirani has given me a hint about '3 Idiots' sequel and I am giving you all a hint.
The film will happen if and whenever he will write the script. Let's keep our fingers crossed," Aamir told the reporters last month during the promotion of "Saala Khadoos".
"Raju (Rajkumar Hirani) some time ago mentioned that he has found a story for '3 Idiots' (sequel), so maybe we will reunite soon. Don't make it as a breaking news," said the 50-year old veteran actor Khan to Indian Express in a press conference to celebrate the 10th anniversary of "Rang De Basanti."
Even Hindustan Times reported that Aamir Khan and Raju Hirani have hinted on the sequel of ''3 idiots'' however the cast and release dates are unknown.
As per the latest updates on Khan, his upcoming movie ''Dangal'' where he plays the role of a wrestler will be released on Dec. 23, 2016. "Sports film inspire young people and it is also exciting to watch such film and more of it should be made'' is what Aamir Khan had to say.
Aamir also supported Sunny Leone when she was criticized in a TV interview about her past profession.
So it seems the plate is quite full for this veteran actor Aamir Khan even after his contract for ''Incredible India'' was not renewed recently.
