The alliance of Rajkumar Hirani and Aamir Khan has created legendary films like ''3 Idiots'' and ''PK.'' The fans have been waiting to hear more about the upcoming sequel of ''3 Idiots'' which has been confirmed by Hirani.
Sometime back Rajkumar Hirani, the director of the original film ''3 Idiots'' clarified that, the moment Abhijat Joshi completes writing the script, he will start the production of the sequel.
The bitbag confirmed that the idea for the sequel has been brewing up in the mind of Hirani for some time now. "Six months back, I thought of an idea which would be great for the sequel. Abhijat (Joshi) and I worked on it for a few days and then spoke to Aamir about it. He got really excited but nothing much has happened. It's a long way. But this is one film that I really want to do," clarified Hirani.
MNG talked about the possibility of Aamir Khan reprising the lead role. The plot of the sequel has been kept under the wraps, however, the speculations are on. ''The first thing to come in mind while thinking of the second instalment of "3 Idiots" is whether or not Rancho aka Phunsukh Wangdu (Aamir) will be teamed up with his close engineering friends Raju Rastogi (Sharman Joshi) and Farhan Qureshi (R Madhavan) for some more tomfooleries to entertain viewers'' stated MNG.
