Will Smith started 2016 with a bomb. His upcoming movie ''Collateral Beauty'' is all set to be released on Dec. 16, 2016. The makers are expecting that the movie will do very well in the box-office looking at the plot and the cast.
This American comedy-drama will see the 47 year old talented actor Smith playing the role of Howard Inlet. The other cast of the movie includes Kate Winslet as Claire, Keira Knightley as Aimee Moore, Helen Mirren as Brigitte, Edward Norton as Whit Yardsham, Jonah Hill, Michael Peña as Simon, Naomie Harris as Madeleine, Jacob Latimore and Enrique Murciano.
David Frankel is the director of this movie which will be distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures. Allan Loeb is writer of this movie. PalmStar Media declared on Jun. 9, 2015 that they will co-produce the movie. They are the financers too.
The wrap reported in May. 2015 that Hugh Jackman and Rooney Mara will star in this movie. Hollywood reporter talked about Palmstar's financing in details. Variety also gave details about the possibility of Jason Segel joining the ensemble cast way back in Jun. 2015. However, later Variety reported that Hugh Jackman did not sign on the dotted lines and he left the cast of ''Collateral Beauty.''

They also clarified that Rooney Mara opted out of the project. In New York City, USA, the principal photography began on Feb. 22, 2016.Queens and Manhattan too were chosen as the spots for shooting this film.
