Latest reports suggest "The Seven Deadly Sins" season 2 release date may not happen until next year.
While, Anime News Network had previously reported that the "The Seven Deadly Sins" season 2 release date has been set for 2016, recent speculations claim that Nakaba Suzuki, the author of the manga series, is yet to complete a certain number of chapters before the series will be released to give the story a head start.
"The Seven Deadly Sins" season 2 release date was confirmed in a commercial video broadcasted during the last episode of "Arslan Senki" or "The Heroic Legend of Arslan," which aired on Sept. 26, 2015.
Furthermore, it is expected that even if "The Seven Deadly Sins" season 2 will get rolled out in 2016, the English dub version will not come out until 2017.
As reported by IBTimes, the anime series first season was aired on Netflix in November 2015. The same series was aired in Japan in March 2015. So, it is likely that season two might also get released in the same way.
"The Japanese text from the official video of the anime only tells fans that the production is green-lit for 2016, but since the Japanese first season finished airing in March of 2015, it is probably safe to presume that North American audiences will need to wait until 2017," The Inquisitr report read.
With all the release date rumors, spoilers hints Meliodas's uprising in the "The Seven Deadly Sins" season 2. It is speculated that the upcoming season will feature a few action-packed sequences with Meliodas reinstated with his full powers.
If "The Seven Deadly Sins" season 2 follows the manga, it is likely that the new episodes will also feature a group of powerful demons called as the Ten Commandments.
Fans can stream the first season of the anime TV series "The Seven Deadly Sins" on Netflix.
