The Cleveland Cavaliers are now facing another obstacle. Their starting center, Anderson Varejao, is out with an injury and it seems like he will gone for quite some time. The Cavaliers started Tristan Thompson in their game against Detroit sunday night and the results were not pretty, the final score was 103-80 and the Detroit bigs Andre Drummond and Greg Monroe led the way for the bottom dweller Detroit Pistons.

Rumor has it that the Cleveland Cavaliers are willing to trade some of their assets to acquire a quality big man. One that they have in mind is Indiana Pacers center Roy Hibbert.

Playing at a high level right now, Hibbert's trade value is high and this may be the best chance for Pacers GM Larry Bird to pull the trigger. It looks like Indiana is not going anywhere deep this season, so might as well start building a new core around his star player when he returns from injury. It will be a good move cap wise and they could probably get lots of assets in return.

One team that can offer some value is the Cleveland Cavaliers-they have much of everything except what Hibbert has. This is illustrated by Hoops Habit in their proposed trade:

"Cleveland Cavaliers
Potential Trade: Roy Hibbert, 1st Round Pick for Tristan Thompson, Dion Waiters, and Brendan Haywood

There were some rumors surrounding the Indiana Pacers and Cleveland Cavaliers talking about a potential Roy Hibbert trade, and it would make a lot of sense for both teams to consider this deal. Hibbert would be the defensive stalwart the Cavaliers badly needs, and Indiana could get a couple nice young players and an expiring contract.

Indiana would be smart to acquire talent like Dion Waiters and Tristan Thompson, as both youngsters offer tremendous upside and could build for next year with both of those players when Paul George comes back from injury. Cleveland on the other hand would get the fourth players alongside of LeBron James, Kyrie Irving, and Kevin Love that could make a difference."

What do you think readers? Will this trade benefit both teams? Sound off in the comments section below!
